Hey, I have a 96 ranger that I just finished putting the front end on. Giant motorsports J beams. its my daily driver. I was having trouble with alignment and I was wondering if anyone could help. I brought it into big brand tires for an alignment after I finished putting the front end on and they are telling me that they can't get it aligned and that it won't drive straight even after they do the alignment. Is that normal? I told them to go through with it and try their best so I guess well see how it goes. Has anyone else had this issue with their equal length beams.

A lot of places don't know how to align something with beams, it was never that super common of a setup back in the day.. even less common now.

Look for a place that's filled with grumpy old men, and not kids in their 20s. The old men should know what they're doing.

Wow. I just looked at their kits. That looks like some good stuff. Anyway, you should be able to get it aligned and it should drive straight when properly aligned. You may need different alignment bushings to get more adjustability. As mentioned above, you need to find some old-timers that know this type of suspension. Or, do it yourself. The instructions are in our tech section.

Here is one of the articles you need to read.

they probably dont know how to align something with heims on the radius arms.
i see youre in ventura. i would call geoff at giant and see if he can recommend an alignment shop in the area. if not, try to contact someone at a local offroad shop with the same question. kibbetech offroad, tnt motorsports, smp fab to name a few.
if all else fails daves frame and alignment in huntington beach is the man and can do it. hes done all of camburgs trucks for years and aligned my ranger with equal length beams, steering and rear 4 link.
