i have an 88 ranger with a 2.9, custon intake, and exhaust. its got a 3inch bdy lift now and sitting on 31s and i want to lift it more but how much i lift it depends on how big of tire i want. My question is does the 2.9 have enough power for 35s? or wat can i do to get more power to run 35s?

Depends on what gears you have in the axles. Tell us the gear ratio and then we can tell you if you need to re-gear or not. If anything, re-gearing your axles would be the only thing you need to do to have enough power to turn 35s.

im not sure actually its an 88. i know the rear axle is a 7.5 dnt know the front axle though

When it comes to turning big tires, gearing is far more important than engine power. Your 2.9 will do just fine turning a set of 35s, but you'll need 4.88s or 5.13s in the axles.
