I have a 1993 ford ranger. My problem started with it flodding out and barely running. finally it would not start at all. we replaced all of the sensors and the computer. still the same problem it gets fire to the plugs but wont start. just turns over. you can smell the gas.

sounds like you spent a lot of money for nothing then.

Check the fuel pressure regulator.

and post more details about your rig - engine size is especially helpful. :icon_thumby:

The 3 necessities

Since you have spark and fuel, you may be missing the compression component. Your timing chain may have jumped a tooth or two. If you get an occasional fire or backfire while cranking you should check the valve timing. Let's hope it is something cheaper to fix-like the fuel pressure regulator the prior poster suggested.

well if its flooding it sounds like a fuel presser regulator i doubt the timings off i would check that and go from their and i take it you already did plugs wires and checked you're coil pack
