I am in the middle of putting a 3.0 into a 1989 supercab 2WD. Does anyone have the dimensions for the mounts or what do I need to do to make it fit in there. The engine right now is acting like it is too narrow to mount. I think I need to make a couple holes lower in the crossmember for the mounts, it appears the engine engine is too high. Please help. The engine came out of a 1991 ranger supercab 2WD.

What engine was in there before?

Yes you may have to make new holes or use "swap" motor mounts if available, they use the old holes in the frame and bolt to the new engine.
3.0l wasn't available in Rangers until 1991.
An '89 trans also won't bolt to a 3.0l
