Engine Swap Question

I have a 1989 Bronco II 2 wheel drive with the A4LD tranny in it that is completely rebuilt. I've also removed the "dummy transfer case" & had a new drive shaft made & installed in it. I'm thinking about swapping out the 2.9 to a 4.0 that is in it now instead of swapping out the 2.9 in my 1990 4X4 BII. Is it any easier to do the swap in a 2 wheel drive verses a 4X4? My 2.9 (77,000 ACTUAL MILES) just runs so good I hate to take it out until I really have to. I have 2 more 2.9s & (3) 4.0 engines laying around that need rebuilding so I got the idea off swapping out the 2.9 in the 2X4 as I know that engine has over 200,000 miles on it even though it still runs pretty good. Just wondering if it is easier to swap into the 2X4 then it is in a 4X4. The gears in the 2X4 are 2.45s from what the plate on the diff is telling me. Thanks
