Hello! I am having an engine squeal I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. It don't do it all the time. Only when the enigne is cold. It comes and goes. It is more than a squeal, it more of a squeal. I replaced my belt, idler puller and tensioner and pulley. I think it's coming from the crank pulley. What do you people think. Any other pulleys go bad on the 4.0L?

ac compressor? had that go bad on my grand am and it would stop squealin a bit when i turned the ac on

Have you tried the belt anit-slip spray? Most auto parts stores sell it...

I've had this same problem on my B3000. It comes and goes, mostly when it's cold or wet, but not strictly those times. I had the belt replaced, then had the tensioner adjusted, then had the tensioner replaced. Each time it came back after a few weeks. One shop greased or sprayed it with something, but it came back. I gave up and just ignore it, but it's irritating, especially when my girl is in the truck. :annoyed:

Part of my motivation to go buy a new one! hahaha
