whats the deal with the little "shock" that bolts to the drivers side of a 4.0 motor? is it just for helping with twisting on the engine when you floor it? does it need to go back together? i guess i kind of forgot if the bracket was integrated with any of the accessory brakets so im wondering if i need to rebuild any of that thing while the motor is out. the piston is shot...

its just to help control motor torque...it would be a good idea to have it hooked up and functioning...but not 100% crucial.

your motor mounts will probably last longer with it in there.
