Engine rebuild gone wrong

Ahh. When does a click/tick transform to a tap, is it how loud it is, or is it a distinctly different sound?

I would define the difference in this way:
A click has a higher pitch.
A tap has an "attack" knock on a door sound.

is this a tap sound? This engine is a comp410 cam build that 1 day i will fix and have sitting on the floor as a stand by engine for the truck I am driving today. cheers

I would think that is more like a "dammitt!~ what the heck was that" sound.
