Im getting really ****ing pissed off right now. If my life depended on it i couldnt get thes flipping 2.8L engine mounts off. I have cut and pryed, any possible thing you can think of. Yeah i kno about the two bolts on the bottom, but in the 83 ranger there is no way to get to them without taking the front axle off and i really dont want to do that. Anyone got any tips or tricks? I have spent hours on this now, i really need to paint the engine bay before the weather comes in.

Jack up the truck, rest it on jack stands, and let the suspension droop. We've all been through it.

Thanks for the help guys, got them out after like another hour, i had to squeeze every last mm i could get in that small space. Also Engine bay is completely stripped same with the cab, now for ryno lining xD:yahoo:

...I even took pictures :)

thats exacly how i did it, with a bar at the end of the wrench tho.:icon_twisted:

Thats the way i did it but didnt use jackstands...but having a lack of an engine under the hood helped a bit.

yeah i didnt jack it up, but i didnt have am engine in it. so that made it sit higher, just picked up an clutch and brake foot pedal, all i need now is the transmission haha.:yahoo:
