I have a 94' Ranger 2.3, and I just checked the codes. It says that my ocatane adjust service pin is open, what is an octane adjust service pin and how do I fix it?? It also say primary fuel pump circuit failure, the person that owned it before me put in a new fuel pump, and the truck runs fine, but when the key is on the fuel pump continously runs, is that normal??

The fuel pump code it is throwing probably means you have a ground coming loose from the pump assembly (what happened to mine). If the ground on it does come off your fuel gauge will peg on full. As for the octane adjuster pin, i'm pretty sure it has something to do with your timing but i'm not really sure, never really researched it. Im sure someone on here knows about it.:icon_confused:

From what I have gathered, there is a jump that is not in, this is the cause of your code. Now it could be a coroded connection too.
