I have a 2001 Ranger, 4.0, 4x4. I recently got a "check engine" light. When I hook up my code scanner, I get a power failure listing on the scanner. I can hook up the scanner to my GM, and it works fine, so it is not the scanner. It just doesn't see the computer. Any ideas?

autozone will do free scans
see if they can read it.
pins 4&5 on DLC are grounds
pins 2&10 are the data buss lines
pin 13 is +12v from PCM

possible broken wire or connector pin 13 or 2/10
