I've got a '94 Ranger XL, 2.3L 5 Speed, 154K mi. My CEL has come on, so I ran a KOER test and got codes 116 (Engine Coolant Temp sensor out of range) and 332 (EGR did not open/respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittantly). Is the ECT sensor the one that's connected to my dash? The temp gauge has never worked since I bought it 4 years ago, but never had a CEL for it. As far as the EGR, not sure where to begin.
When I start it in the morning to go to work, the light comes on, and most of the time turns off once the engine is up to temp. But until then, I had to lighten up on accelerating, it struggles to gain speed, mostly on small inclines. Once it warms up most of it goes away, I just can't floor it. The idle has been a little uneven also because of this. The only thing I've done recently was my last oil change, I switched from 10W30 to 5W30, that's when the CEL came on.
Any ideas where I could start?

The temp sensor for the dash gauge is a single wire, The temp sensor that the computer uses is a two wire job. check the resistance of the temp sensor when the motor is cold and then when it is hot. Correct values are in the tech library I believe. If there is no change in value between hot and cold the sensor is bad.
