Can I swap 2003 4.0 l engine and tranny for an 06 3.0 l engine and tranny with the harness and all would it be a easy drop-in or plug and play or is there to much work to do?

Tranny codes are the same just was checking everyone around here says it can't be done without alot of mods

I'm assuming auto? May need to wait on someone more knowledgeable to chime in. I only know manual side for ranger.

I would like to argue with @PetroleumJunkie412 but I probably shouldn’t.

it’s going to be work either way. But if you have the engine, transmission, engine mounts, wiring harness, ecu and some tools and gumption, it can be done and shouldn’t be what I would consider “too difficult”. If that’s the combo you have available at the right price, go for it.
