Engagement pictures....ranger stylez

Hey guys, long story short got engaged this summer. We had engagement photos done a while back, and just now got them. My fiance insisted we take a pic with the Ranger (yep shes a keeper ) so I figured Id let you all in on it, and a few others.

But what is that black thing on the passenger side..? Looks like an intake?

That is a snorkel. It's function is to allow water crossings w/o ingesting water into the engine.

That is in fact me in my avatar...thank you very much. My fiance told me I had to stop injections of vit S 4 months prior to the photos...hence the difference in stature.
