B/G are quiet/smooth even the not-B/G plastic one in there lasted long time as it was in there when we moved here 12 yrs ago so life was 12+something.
Boiler is probably 1940's? American Standard. Let's just say OLD. So original heat exchanger but probably most other parts replaced over time, I know I did some.
Newer boilers have a lot of stuff integrated, harder to work on, gonna try to keep this one going.
Had to have flue collector made up $300 a few years ago. Burner tubes might be a problem if they go but seem pretty durable.
