Ive got a little problem just wondering if anybody know anything about. Ive got a 1995 Ranger XLT and it seems to be havin some electrical problems. The door ajar will never go out and so the dinging never stops. Ive unplugged the fuse for now but then my wipers and speedo go out. Any one know how to fix this. Also some other weird electrical stuff is happening like the cruise control turning off when a blinker is turn on. My frind said it might be the computer module...Any input? THanks

The door ajar/dinging is a common problem and likely unrelated to the others. The switch gets dirty in the door latch, just spray some contact cleaner in there and that should fix it. Don't have a clue about the other problems.

The switch is in the latch which is in the end of the door, not at the hinge... its the part that hits the striker to close.

The cruise/blinker problem is probably the multifunction switch. It is a fairly common problem for these switches to go bad. This is the blinker switch in the upper steering column under the steering wheel. shady
