I recently did a 4.0L swap into my 89 B2. I used the wiring harness from a 91 Ranger since it is the closest to plug and play there is. The truck runs just fine, however I do have a few bugs:

1) I am getting constant power to the cab for some reason. No key in ignition and radio, wipers etc. all work.

2) I have no tail lights at all. No brake lights, no running lights and my signals do not work.

3) My fuel guage does not work since the swap.

Is there a possibility that I need to do a little splicing, did I miss a ground somewhere....

Any help would be much appreciated.

While both wiring systems are almost identical, there are a couple of differences such as the light switch power feed. Get a Chilton's manual #8159. It has both wiring circuits. Compare and wire accordingly. shady
