I'm having some wierd problems with my 1996 b4000. When the car is off and door open the dome light turns off when the brake is pressed. When the headlights are on the dome light comes on dimly as we'll as the left and right blinker indicators on the dash. While this is happening if you turn on a blinker the dome light blinks. If you press the brake while the truck is running the engine starts to sputter and stall. I'm going to pull wiring diagrams at school tomorrow. But in the mean time if anyone has any ideas I'd live to hear them

Clean and inspect all your grounds.

One on the radiator support, driver side.
Both inner front fenders, two on driver side one onn passenger side.
Below the in cab fusebox and another under the passenger outboard kick panel.
Windshield wiper motor strap to engine head.
Bat- to frame to engine block.

You'll notice on Fords, the ground point on the body is only 3 raised dimples. Hit those dimples with sandpaper and clean up the wire's terminal rings. I use a brass wire brush chucked into a drill when it fits.

I recommend you start with the grounds on the fenders.
