Electrical gremlin. Headlights/wipers

Alright, had an issue with my headlights and wipers.

When I start the truck, THEN turn on the headlights, the wipers start up with washer fluid spraying as well. Annoying, an not good.

Now when I turn the headlights on BEFORE starting the truck, there is no wiper issues at all, I can cycle it between driving light and headlights all day long. The second I turn it to the "off" position and back I though, wiper issues.


Thought it was the multifunction switch, bought a brand new one from a ford dealer, put it in, issues still exist. I checked all the wires coming to the switch from the headlight switch, all are fine. Had the whole dash apart. No wires are shorting stripped or anything.

I need this fixed ASAP.

wish i could help.........my a/c sometimes won't blow out of the vents unless I turn the parking lites on......sometimes!!!

weird. so i said **** it and put the whole dash back together, went on to do my foglight mod, after i did it, everything worked exactly how its sposed to lmao. so either something was loose in the panel the fog light wires are in, or the plug wasnt all the way in on the switch and got bumped in or something. idk. but it all works now.

Haha yep you totally helped me out!

I'm thinking maybe it was the switch, and when I unplugged the old one some wires were lossened from the harness connector thing. I fiddled around with it after so I don't know. Could be anything. But it's working.

Good point....sometimes an INDIVIDUAL wire end can start working it's way out of the CONNECTOR itself causing a "foaming-at-the-mouth-problem"
