hello, thanks for the help so far. I am trying to disconnect the electric clip connection on the oil pressure switch on a 2000 2.5L 4cyl manual ranger. Its way up underneath as I found out recently. Does that clip come straight off or do you need to squeeze or disconnect a little prong on the clip? anyone remember on the last one you worked on. I can not see it because of the location. thanks.

old ones just pulled off, but yours will have a tab that needs to be lifted back to slide it off.

If wire looks to be long enough and free enough you could unscrew the sender with wire attached then lower it or raise it to release the connector.
You can just push on the connector to new sender and tab will lock in place

okay, thanks i finally got it. talk about idiot lights and or gauges. I ran my crankcase low on oil and that is why my needle was jumping. I purchased the truck about a year ago and it only has 42k miles and never dreamed it was loosing oil because it is so nice and was serviced every year by ford. I was just ready to change the oil. I think I did some damage on the engine but it has always been kind of old running with allot of pinging. I have other big problems now that I am posting under transmission help. Thanks.
