electric fan?

I am going to buy an electric fan from ebay here is the link

It does not come with instalation instructions . So I need help with the install.

install on what? your trans cooler? powersteering cooler?


if its for the radiator you may want another one....or send it back.

I hope this is of some help to you. Some may seem very basic, but I am trying to cover all bases.



Temp Sensor-Mount in grounded metal and in contact with coolant.

Circuit breaker-Connect one terminal to battery+ with 12 or 10 gauge wire. The other terminal connects to relay terminal 30 with 12 or 10 gauge wire. Locate it as close to the source of power as possible.

Relay-Uses signal from temp sensor to switch power to fan.
Switched ignition or unswitched battery connects to terminal 85. This source will control whether the fan runs with ignition on or not.
Sensor connects to terminal 86
Power out to fan connects to terminal 87.

Fan-Two wires, one is ground, the other is switched power from relay terminal 87. Black is probably ground. This fan is reversible, so if it turns the wrong way, just reverse the two wires.

Relay socket-Pretty obvious, the relay plugs into it.

There is another part in the harness I am not able to identify, but it appears to be prewired, so it may take care of itself during installation.

Most of the aftermarket fans leave a lot to be desired. Using o.e.m "junk yard" efans is a great options. Taurus two speed fans produce like 4,000+ cfm on high. Not only do they usually move a lot more air than the aftermarket fans, o.e.m fans tend to last a LOT longer... The only down side is they tend to pull more amps, but the downside is overwhelmed by the upside IMO.
