Elected retirement today!!!!

One thing I loved about being in the Navy...we could have beards. The Coast Guard as well. I loved that!!!

My days are all the same since I retired.....Get up, feed the wild ones, take a dirt bike out, come back, get coffee and a bagle, watch the news, go to the mall and have a walk about, go to lunch, go back home, feed the wild ones, make a cup of coffee, watch the news, get the Wrangler ready for the next outing, call family and friends to chat and they always ask me what I do every day!!!!! Some days I get to sleep in until 6:00....then I feel like I need to hurry to get up, feed the wild ones, take a dirt bike out, come back, get coffee and a bagle, watch the news, go to the mall and have a walk about, go to lunch, go back home, feed the wild ones, make a cup of coffee, watch the news, get the Wrangler ready for the next outing, call family and friends to chat and they always ask me what I do every day!!!!! Some days I get to sleep in until 6:00....then I feel like I get the feeling, Bro....Hey!! Does this sound like Ground Hog Day or what?? lol

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:
I want your life haha.

Oh yeah, it's time. Will have 24 years and 5 days when it's all said and done though my last work day should be 1 Apr 2012. Just had to share!:yahoo::icon_bounceblue:

I hope it isn't a huge April Fool's day prank. :icon_twisted:

Well,
That time has fianlly come. Got my last haircut on Monday, wore my fancy blues uniform for the last time as well. Friday is my last day as a contributing member of the military. Won't be leaving Alaska untill June 2nd or so. Waiting for the kids to get out of school before the big move. Looking good to have a job at an avionics repair station in Dallas so our future looks secure, thanks indeed to God. Later all!
if that dont work out there might be a plant that builds f-16s or jsfs in that area. thanks for service....... 40 years door gunner i knew you were a vietnam vet but i didnt know you stayed in.....

HA!
I too hope it's not a prank! No, everything is fairly well set up. I'm very proud of my service to this country. It's allowed me to have been around the world a couple times, made some great friends, seen LOTS of beautiful, and terrible, things, been mortared, shot at and had a great time with it all!!! As for what’s next, I'm shipping my 87 and towing the 88 behind my Chevy. We're taking the ferry system out of here to Washington and taking the BII on a trailer will cost about $300, driving it on the ferry would cost nearly $800. Then drive both down to Oregon to see my son and then to Utah to pick up all the stuff we left behind to come up her then off to Texas. At least that's the plan at present. And all I've ever desired for my service was thanks. So thank you everyone for your thanks!

Thank you for your service. I have only had a job for 3 years and I am already ready to retire haha and doing nothing all day seems perfect for me, seem like I have done it pretty well the past 19 years.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....you're using the tried & true M.T.S. (Mexican Towing System....but normally it would be 3 vehicles connected in a row)

and have a safe/fun/relaxing trip :yahoo:

Congrats on the retirement and thank you for your service...and if you're ever in Canada...can I borrow your trailer...lol
