egr delete/ headers

hi everyone
long story short i sent my ranger to the shop for a rough idle and they hydrolocked the motor and bent a rod, go figure. but i see this as a good opportunity to add headers to my list of upgrades only issue is i haven't seen any headers for a 3.0 that have egr on them. so what should i do? delete my egr system or does anyone know of headers with egr on them for and 07 3.0. and if i do an egr delete what would be some side effects?

JBA offers headers for the 3.0 both with egr, and without egr.
Deleting egr would trigger a check engine light, and would cause you to fail a smog test if you live in an area that does them.

the first shop said that they ran tranny fluid through the brake booster vacuum line to clean out carbon in the intake....... seams weird to me but yeah, and they must have poured it in too fast and now it has a bent rod

wow there morons they make stuff for that but anyway sorry. i used to work a dealership and storys like this blow my mind.

i would just get headers with egr. you cant go wrong with jba headers

Does the 07 have an EGR? My 03 does not. The JBA headers I looked at on JBA web site did not show EGR??

yes mine does have an egr valve on it. JBA's web site says they make headers for 07s with egr valves but i cant find a supplier who has them
