i figured out you can use the stock gas tank from an efi ranger when
convertying to carb
the fuel pump in the tank has a return hose if you take off the plastic nipple
it works as a supply line
i used the stock conection to the pump (fuel line) plugged the stock supply line
where the stock return line coming off the pump meets the hard line on frame
splice in electric pump to rubber line going to old pump in tank
add small rubber line from the new pump to the existing hard line
then i disconected the qwick conect from the hard line to the injector bank
strip the old hose off the qwik conect end piece (silver part) and hook a new rubber line from the qwik conect to the carb still using the factory conection
also cut the power and ground going to the old pump (might not have to because ecm is gone and cant tell pump to work any more)
leave the sending unit wire hooked up
now it works perfect has stock gas tank (no fuel cell) and the guage works perfect
hope this helps someone out there
