EDIS Module (Ignition Controle Module) Location
My '93 Ranger 4x4 Extended Cab 4.0L is giving me big problems. Now, I am getting a code that says that the EDIS Module (Ignition Controle Module) has a problem with coil #3. I want to replace it, but can not find the module. I have a Haynes Manual that says that it is connected to the radiator support. It is not there. My Chilton Manual says the same thing. I went to Ford and got a print out that says that it is behind the battery. It isn't there either.
I have changed the fuel pump (only reading 20 psi), the Mass Air (Low voltage), and the fuel filter. I also cleaned the throttle body, and tried a new coil pack. The truck cuts out under most any kind of load. It was stalling out before I could even get out of the driveway before I did the above. All advice is very welcome. Can someone help me locate the EDIS module? Thanks in advance.
