Having some trouble with my brother's ranger. It's a 91 STX that we use for off-road. The other day he climbed a hill, kinda violently, and the truck died at the top. He restarted it and went about a quarter mile or so through the trail then it died and wouldn't restart. The inner fenders are out of it and I noticed the edis6 module hanging down covered in mud and its now busted a little next to where the wiring harness plugs in. Originally we got it started off starting fluid for a few seconds. Now its in the shop we figured out the fuel pump was getting prime but wasn't running when we cranked it. I jumpered it accross the relay but I'm not getting any spark now. I figure the module is toast but does it control the fuel pump in any way or is it an unrelated issue. This is just an off road beater so we're trying not to throw a bunch of money at it. Any advice would be appreciated.
