I just picked up a 2001 SCSB Edge. The bed needs to be replaced. What years will easily replace this bed without having to change tailights? Also on a non Edge bed I should just have to drill and install the fender flare, correct?
Has anyone changed a regular bed for a flareside? How does this look with the fender flares on the rear? Are the flareside eds all still or fiberglass like other trucks?
Thanks for the help.

Beds are interchangeable from 93-2012. Taillights are too. The step side beds all had composite bedsides. Yes, you can just drill holes for the flares if the bed doesn't have them already. For what it's worth, the Edge trucks that came from the factory as a stepside, didn't get any flares.

I believe it was 09 that they went to 8 bed bolts instead of 6, not sure if all the holes line up or not.

OP: Stepside bed take a different fuel filler tube if you decide to go that route.

Wherebouts are you located?

To be 100% anatomical correct, you should change the rear bumper from the styleside to the stepside one if you change boxes, the stepside bumper being ~5" narrower.
