2.3L ('83-'97) Ecu ?

Anyone know if a dual plug mustang ecu is any different than the dual plug ranger for example a lil more timing or higher limiter? I've got 2 2.3 motors this weekend one 4 plug one 8 from a guy that pulled from stangs for v8 conversions, entire engine harness for both with ecus and a manual trans. If it's no different I'll just put em in my file cabinet with my other ecu stuff in case I ever need em!
