Economic Stimulus Check

+1

i like a man who does what he says hes gonna do!

The *only* idea of Dubya's I liked when he ran for 2nd term was to introduce reform to allow small business's to band together and purchase health care packages for their employees at the same discounted rates that the big corporations get. A great idea really, considering the situation we're in. It's been almost 4 years and I've yet to see this plan even begin to take shape.

Politicians on both sides are full of shit, bought off, turnkeys. They may as well go one step further and put "Vote for Exxon/Mobil, Wal-mart, Pfizer, Philip Morris, Citigroup, etc..." on their campaign signs. At least then people will know who they're really voting for.

Go blow your check at the strip club... It is a "Stimulus package."

At no point was I saying old GW was DIRECTLY responsible for the housing problems. I was coming up with other ills of the country that $600 ISN'T going to fix. It's not going to bring a stronger dollar that will bring the buying power of the dollar back up which will bring the price of oil down. Sub prime mortgages should never been available in the first place, A-Rod shouldn't be making more money than the entire Florida Marlins, every body in the post powerful country in the world should have at least some health care. There is a lot that needs to be fixed in this country and it's NOT all GW's fault. This country is great and has the potential to be even greater, $600 isn't going to do it, it's a step back wards, not forward.

i will just keep referring everyone back to what kinda shape we would be in if al gore woulda won.....or even the second time around kerry......both of those men are complete JOKES, we be FAR more fucked up if either of them won, has bush done the kinda job he really needed todo, no, but the ONLY reason his approval rating is SO low is becuase what people in the press talk about, and pass all blame off on....... whoever the press want to destroy they can, whoever they want to flourish they do

I'm not a fan of Gore... But I would have taken Kerry over Bush any day. Kerry's biggest mistake was not locking that wife of his away in the attic for the duress of his campaign. Where did he pick her up at anyway, a Halloween party?

You're saying Bush isn't a joke? Most people would kill for all of the opportunities he's had and royally screwed up throughout his life. Somehow the family name and money STILL landed him the presidency though... and he's done wonders for our country since.
The best job he's done since taking office was going on vacation 3/4 of his first year of presidency. He has a special team that monitors his Superbowl snack food for sharp edges for God's sake, because the idiot can't eat a pretzel without trying to choke to death on it.

I respectfully disagree with your statement made as the ONLY REASON for Bush's LOW approval rating. I agree the news has a lot to do with it BUT more importantly is the fact the American People are fed up with his "approving" bill after bill that not only is in complete FAVOR of BIG BUSINESS but the Iraq war, social security, HIGH TAXES, & his over all attitude that he will do what he pleases as he sees fit with no apparent regard to those people who's lives he has such a great effect over. When people who have worked hard all their lives & played by the rules find themselves having to decide whether to buy food or medicine or gas, they look back at the President who SIGNED these bills into law & they beleive in their hearts had he NOT signed them, we would not be were we are today. And I have to agree as I am one of those people. Bush has never once had any problem with NOT signing something he didn't agree with or something was not included in a bill he didn't like but on the other hand, he had no problem signing something that benefited BIG BUSINESS which in turn also benefited the MAJORITY of all POLITICIANS including Bush's FAMILY too as everyone knows he is tied to BIG OIL & BIG BUSINESS already. Whether or not this is actually true is beised the point as the "impression" he has given "IS" the one people look at & see on a daily basis. IMO opinon for what's its worth, the news media has played only a small role compared to what the American People really feel about Bush & his administration. I really think the majority of the people don't put as much confindence in the news media as much as the news media actually believe they do.

Not only does Bush have a LOW approval rating but the ENTIRE government has low approval ratings which includes Congress & the House. People in America are fed up with "business as usual" attitudes, illegal immigrants, scandels every month, "let's make a deal" meetings behind closed doors, the loss of loved ones lives in a war most think we have no business being in & generally everything that is taking place in Washington, DC these days. We are tired of the "do nothing" attitudes, passing laws for the RICH so they can get richer while most of us have to make decisions which in this great country of ours we feel we should not have to be making just to live our day to day lives. AND the seemingly unendless supply of BIG MONEY being spent on 3 people running for Office of President making promises WE KNOW they are NOT going to keep once they get there is just adding more & more distain toward what is taking place in the entire country right now. They DO tell the American people anything they "think" we will believe just to get our vote & get in office. And then??? Well, only time will tell won't it? And what do we ALL do in the meantime?? We keep tightening our belts & doing with less & less in order to just survive while they keep spending money as if there is no end in sight to the supply. They already have "theirs" while we are all still trying to get enough to live on & survive. AND BY GAS to get back & forth to work while paying MORE taxes then ever before.

big buisness and the rich provide THE JOBS!tax the hell out of them, and jobs move overseas.tax the hell out of them and they move their money offshore where it does not get taxed, and also doesn't contribute to the economy.

as i recall,w tried like hell to get congress to move on social security and even asked for all suggestions, bring your ideas to the table.what happened?
you know damn well what happened.

the majority in the house couldn't stop iraq, did not have the "balls" to end funding, will not work with w,and seem to be quite content to ride it out until he is out.

Let me try to put this into another perspective. The national debt is skyrocketing. The number is now $9,396,546,338,310.80. That equals about 30,823.00 per person to pay it off. Not per working person, per person. The war alone is costing us about 12.3 BILLION per month to maintain. All of this is borrowed money which WE and our children will have to pay back. Now, where do you suppose the money for the "economic stimuluous" came from? Hmmmm? That is correct! It was borrowed! Guess what. You now owe even MORE money because some moron named Bush decided to borrow money in YOUR name that YOU didn'e even ask for. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy, don't it?

I'm not even American and that number will probably give me nightmares.

........we are doomed

well, when the US goverment spends 10k per toilet in the federal buildings, and 1k per plunger....where do u think it adds up from, if the goverment would idk....actually do LOWEST bidder contracts, instead of specialty contracts, the country could be out of debt in no time at all, if when soemthing broke, they sent a janitor or something to lowes to replace it instead of givin some senators brother the money, the country wouldnt be so fucked up

what makes me all warm and fuzzy is charlie rangel driving around washington in a $50,000 cadilac car at tax payer expense, heck my taxes won't even cover fuel for the govt jet to haul nancy pelosi and her entourage back and forth to california.

harry reid wants 45 million to study, not build, study the feasibility of a high speed train between las vegas and california.

debt?what debt?washington is spending your money faster than the treasury can print it.don't bring up the war without including all the money we blow around the planet,it's staggering!if you need more examples of same ole same ole it's readily available.

........we are doomed

I agree. Been coming for a long time and getting worse by the day. We WASTE money on global warming research and stupid crap that doesn't mean squat and boost up every kind of welfare there is. Nothing is your fault anymore, not buying a house in a flood plane or even a house you can't afford...

In the 90's, Clinton got rid of our national deficit. Bush has completely fucked things up.

His war on terrorism is the equivalent to my local Ohio law enforcement leader paying officers overtime to go to California to arrest criminals to keep them from ever coming here. It makes no sense.

Bring our people home, stop wasting money, and improve our security at home. You have a better chance of making things more secure to keep bad people out, then getting rid of all the bad people.

Are you serious? Across the country? WOW someone is getting the shaft there. Actually, replace someone with 'taxpayers'. That is an incredibly misguided misappropriation of funds.
