We all saw it up for bid. $15,575 was the winning bid. Wow!!! Nice ride. I would not have gone more then $7,000. My buddy went as high as he could but was outbid so amny times. Wow!!!

Actually that Bronco2 went real close to it's original sticker price.

Original sticker price for my Bronco2 5speed '87 Bronco2 was $13,700

But remember its been 22 years since you could walk into a Ford Dealer and buy one.

Well if a collector wanted it then regular losers like us are peons. They got it cheap. If I decided to collect B2s and wanted an original that money would be nothing. Nothing. I'm poor, or course, but I have a friend with a $100,000 Super Bee and a $100,000 SCJ in climate-controlled storage. A mint B2 would be used as a door stop in his garage.

To me it is because it hasn't been dinked with and is a clean slate (for the mere mortal vehicles I buy)

And it takes a whole lot of effort to keep something original for an extended length of time... which means there are far fewer of them. Custom vehicles usually appeal more to the original builder than very many other people too and that limits the number people standing in line to lay down money for it.

If I were looking for a low mile original Bronco2 I'd be picky and specifically look for a late '90's production one with an "M" code manual transmission and manual T-case.

All things considered bronco2's are "neat" but I'd be far more interested
in an 1st Gen Explorer sport in the same condition than in a Bronco2.

Why? because the fisrt thing most of would want to do with a Bronco2 would be to modify it... and the first modification anyone would want to do is a 4.0.

I could live with the extra 8" of wheelbase of an Explorer sport for the bigger engine, stronger trans and wider stronger rear axle.

So if someone sees a low mile RUST FREE '93 Explorer sport...
