I currently have BDS 6" lift coils and they're rated at 410 ppi, was looking into a softer coil but would like to maintain the height i'm at, What EB coil would allow me to achieve this since I can't seem to find an answer.

go read brinker88's build thread, i seem to remember him running 3.5"/4.5" eb coils, they were around 285 ppi. however this coil wont do you any good without extended radius arms. i would extend the radius arms first and unhook the sway bar then see what you think, and the eb coils are going to be pretty soft for a daily driver. but the best for more flex

with a coil that soft your chances of having to redo your steering is pretty high, every thread i have read where eb coils have been used with ttb the tires did \ / and this / \ while accelerating and breaking. the common fix seems to be a super runner style.

one guy actually used ratchet straps to keep the front end from jacking up while driving!

thats the one from pirate but he has another one here on trs. just search his user name. pretty damn impressive id say.

I have a superrunner steering modded with 1 ton tre. Extended radius arms are next but I was gonna put in new coils at the same time.

seems like you have everything you need then, id go with the 3.5 inch coils. as you can see there really long and flexy, if its not tall enough for you, just put 2 inches of washers under the coil.

On a BII, EB coils might be anywhere from perfect, to still a tad bit stiff depending what you want out of them (I run 240PPI coils (XJ) and I think they're perfect for what I do, which very often includes hundreds of miles of street driving to get to places).

But yeah agreed, gotta have extended arms to make good use of them (along with extended shock mounts).

Also, it looks like you MIGHT need to lower that steering down just a bit more, unless it's just the angle of the camera... Looks like the tie rods are still not parallel with your beams (straight line between each knuckle to the beam pivot) at ride height.

How much total lift did you get from the xj coils? I'm trying to stay around a 5-6 lift. I did notice my tie rods aren't 100% flat but I was gonna put a dana 35 in 1st with new coils and see where it sits from there.

My coils (Skyjacker 6" XJ) sit at 16¼ inches under the weight of my BII, which correlates with roughly 5- 5½" lift (I raised my buckets up 2" so I'm actually closer to 3½" lift in the suspension).

Sounds like they might be what you're after.

Sounds like I'll being putting those on here soon. I'm thinking about making some extended radius arms for my truck since forking out $600+ right now isn't really what I'd like to do plus my truck is no longer a daily driver so I can see what works now and for the money of the arms i could buy a better welder than what I have now.

there is a certain year of f250 which has longer radius arms that just bolt on. i believe its 2002 or maybe 2012, brinker88 knows he posted about it. thats a cheaper alternative if you dont wanna build them.

the e series arms are longer...shock mounting needs some creativity....I run bags in the coils to tune street ride and handling in addition to the steering mods.

worked pretty good.

Thanks I'll look into that as well
