That’s 20-year-old Traci Neil peering out from her ’00 Ford Ranger, and the truck was her homeschool senior project. In addition to the obvious visible mods, the truck has a fuel-injected V-6 engine; ARB’d Dana 44 up front; ARB’d Ford 9-inch out back; four-link front suspension with RaceRunner coilovers; four-link rear suspension with coil springs and RaceRunner shocks; hydro-assist steering; and 35-inch BFG M-T KM2s. Neil says, “I’ve always had a thing for trucks. I love prerunners and rockcrawlers, so I combined the two. And besides, everyone in my family has a Jeep. I wanted to be different.”

Darn, I got that mag a ways back. It seems so long ago. Traci can drive and she has a neat Ranger. I was glad to see a girl on the trail ride. I go to Moab every two years and there are lots of ladies along for the trails. I am going back next year and can't wait.
