1989 Ranger XLT 4x4 2.9l V6, no lift or anything. What would be the easiest, cheapest way to first 34" Super Swampers?

don't know on your question but

I have some 34/10.5/16 Super Swamper LTB's for sale on 16x8 rock crawler simulated beadlocks for sale in TX. Haven't put them up for sale on here yet since they are still on the truck but they are coming off next week.

PM if interested or you want pics, sales pitch over haha

sawzall. 'nuff said.

you might get by with a 3" body lift and fender trimming.
other than that, 3" body lift with 4" suspension lift. body lift cheaper than suspension lift, but you'll need both to clear those 34's the right way... imho.

34's will be pushing that dana 28 front end of yours pretty hard. would prob work for everyday driving, but be careful when wheeling.

i'd look into a dana 35 and 8.8 swap. then run 35's since they are easier to come by!

Gen 1's need a 6" lift to fit 33's, so you'll need at minimum a 4" suspension plus a 3" body lift. Not be cheap.
Sawzall = cheap.

dont mean to call you out or anything, but 3" would be fine for 33s in my experience. my B2 had 32x11.50s on it before i bought it with no lift, only rubbed at full turn on the radius arm( i knew the guy when he owned it)

the 34-10.5 LTBs run 33.6 so they are a small 34 as was said above a sawzall would be the easiest way

I have 32s on my '90 Ranger, no lift but cut fenders. You could probably do 34s with majorly cut fenders and F150 coils and new rear leafs (Explorer leafs, maybe). Even then it might still be wise to put a small body lift in (1-2")

x2. 1983, 1st gen ranger and i'm running 31.5" tires on a 2" body lift. no fender trim, no suspension lift. nothing rubbing anywhere. looks like there is room for the 32.5" tires i'd like to get next spring.

well it all depends on who wide the 34 are going to be
i have 33x10.5 on my 88 ranger with a 2.5 inch susp lift and 33x12.5 on my 88 b2 with a 4 inch susp and 3 body but the tires on the b2 wont fit on the ranger with out a lot of cutting

No biggie, I'm just going off of the chart in the Tech Library. Gen 1's don't have as much fender room as the later models though, so it takes more lift to fit the same tire than a Gen 2 or 3.
