I'm working on a full time '79 f250 and was wondering what the easist or quickest way to remove rivets that are on the frame would be? and i'm not good enough with a torch to cut them off with one. The frame is a bit rusty so i most likely have to remove amost all the rivets to get the flaking rust out from behind all the brackets. Any suggestions? and we tried to look for a different frame but it seems like the ones near us are rusted to some extent. thanks for any help.

i didn't even think of that. thanks

I am a "have not" so I do it the have not way: a bench grinder, a cutting wheel, and some safety glasses :icon_twisted:

i'd love to see how you would use a bench grinder for this..

wheres the im with stupid sign when u need them, we used to have smileys for days lol

cut a x in the head and air chisel them off then knock the rest thu.

This. :icon_thumby:

3lb sledge and a chisel works too.

You would then punch the rivet out with a punch from this same side. Pushing it 'out'
