early and late model parts interchangeable ???

I've been considering dropping the whole Idea of a V-8 swap(tired of everybodys pissing matches on advice) and considering just staying 3.0 but I'm wondering if the later model motors as far as the long block are better motors and if so can I still run my original exhaust,intake,injection and electronics?

All 3.0 longblocks are the same, so you should be able to use your top end on any year bottom end. Technically, the newer blocks are a little stronger and more vibration resistant due to some more webbing/structural support, but there's not a huge difference.

well that is kinda the way I'm thinking is building the best 3.0 to put in my truck without having to change all of the electronics so if I can use a late model long block and use all of the rest of my parts that would be great
