A few months ago I found some devices I worked on back in the early 70's. The device was a ceramic packaged device with a GaAs chip containing 64 IR LEDs. This device was used in an optical character reader machine for the banking industry.

I love being able to replace components on a pcb board, surface mount stuff can be a PITA to repair.
