Has anyone put an e-fan on these 3.0's? I've heard about getting a it better fuel milage and a small increase ni power when installing these? Do they even make them for our engines? Has anyone ever tried putting one in?

i think the actual fan clutch in the 3.0 has temp controlled clutch IIRC i may be wrong tho, its a plastic fan that doesnt really have that much wind resistance. my buddy put one on his ranger and i couldnt feel any difference and he still got about 20-22 MPG which is what i generally get with my regular fan

you will not gain any HP or MPG numbers...this has been discussed to death on these forums.

you will also lower your cooling system capacity (no electric fan will out-flow the stock mechanical)...which may or may not become a problem for you later down the road.

Tried the e-fan-couldn't keep er'cool at 85 deg.outside temp.,and I live in the south where 100 deg.is not too uncommon.
