hi can anyone help out with a parking brake issue that's kicking my a#$ all new cables still brakes drag the front actuator is pulling hard on both rear cables . act's like one or all cables too short, any help would be appreciated

Post your question in the brakes forum... I'm sure someone will help you out

And welcome to TRS...

I assume pedal is up all the way

The self adjusters in the drums, the Star Wheels, do have a left and right side
Did you do one wheel at a time?
Or both and maybe they got reversed

Are they 9" or 10" brakes?
Rangers used both sizes

Rear brake shoes have a short pad and long pad, short pad goes toward the front of the vehicle

The spring on the Equalizer(on drivers side frame rail) should be pulling on the single parking pedal cable that goes forward into the cab, it helps pull the pedal up in the cab when released
And releases pressure on the 2 cables going to the rear wheels

108 is regular cab
114 is regular cab long bed
124 is extended cab
Each has a different front cable length

Not sure why you're deleting all your posts?

I'm able to see what you deleted and I thought the main cable pulled the passenger side cable and the driver cable tightened after the passenger cable tightened. You may have the cables connected wrong.

A picture of your set up would be good about now.

driver side is tied into the front cable. the passenger side is in the Equalizer . drivers side pulls first then passenger side. that return spring goes on the Equalizer to the bracket spring will pull back cable on passenger e brake cable fine but the driver side is still being pulled by the front actuator
