Anyone have an easy way of getting the e-brake spring clip out of the drum brake backing plate? I'm swapping rear-ends and want to use the e-brake again.
Oh, 87' ranger 7.5 drums.
Thanx.

Find a box-end wrench (12 point) and slide it over the spring side of the clip. Make sure it fits snug and after you push it on pull on the cable. It should come out. If that doesn't work push the spring clips in with a screwdriver and get it that way.

thanks guys, the small hose clamp didn't work to well but the
box-end wrench (FYI....1/2") worked great. It took all of 2 minutes per side plus
I didn't have to poke my fingers with the screw driver anymore.
