Duratec engine swap?

I have a 2002 Ranger with a 5-speed manual and a Duratec 23NS. Anybody know if it has the same bellhousing pattern as the Duratec 30 v6?

Not interested in doing a V8 swap, but would like a little more power. I get about 22 mpg (combined) and my wife's Fusion 3.0L gets 24 and has way more power.

Just wanna know if it will mate to the tranny?

If it does, I'm gonna start my homework on making the computer and wiring harness work in a ranger.

I have wanted to do this for a while. the 3l duratec in a taurus has the same bell housing as a 3l Vulcan. Has anyone put one in a 3l ranger or at least thought about it. Let me know how it went.

I have wanted to do this for a while. the 3l duratec in a was the same bell housing as a 3l vulcan, the trans in a taurus was the same from duratec to vulcan. let me know how it goes.

I think ya missed something there.....what was it in? I get that you might be saying the motor was also from a Taurus, but I want to make sure.

Also, anybody have:

1. pin-outs for the engine harness from the series my 02 Ranger is in?
2. Or the pin-outs from a Duratec 30 vehicle I could find in the junkyard?

Any help is welcome!

Might start a motor swap trend if it works!
