I am buying a 1984 Bronco II and I would like some info on a duraspark conversion. And advice on or reasons not to do it would be appreciated.

Also any advice on oil types to run and other things I can do to get the most out of my B2 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

You want to do the duraspark conversion. Look in the tech pages, step by step instructions with part #'s to boot.

Tech article link is at the top of the page, below top banner
Home | Ford Ranger Forum | Tech Articles | Other Articles | Featured Rangers | ect.....

Then select Charging & Ignition Systems
You will find the 2.8l Duraspark conversion article there

If engine has high miles then use a high mile oil.

Flush coolant system and replace coolant, 2.8l had a hot spot in the head design, so best to keep it clean with good circulation.
