Saw this on Ebay, will it work?

That looks like a 4 cyl carb I would say no the seller is wrong and probably will not return your money if you purchase it. Look for a autolite or motorcraft with a 1.08 venturi or smaller. A couple guys here are selling 2.8 parts maybe you will get lucky?

I did the duraspark conversion on my 2.8. Ended up just buying the Holley 350 for it and it worked great, I just went with the manual choke and had to do a little modification to get the linkage exactly right. The timing positions were a little off due to the machine work on the engine, it was a tooth off from what the marking were. I used a new distributor from a 79 mustang 2.8, the vacuum advance was bad so I had to replace it. Runs great now. The few hundred dollars on the new carb will be money well spent.
