Dumb a$$ Toyota engineers, WTF were they thinking? Rant

Honestly, I've never had a problem driving my mom's 06' Rav4. The traction control works fine and when I got it stuck in the yard the other day the traction control didn't limit me from having ample power to the wheels when I floored it to get out. It even has an Auto LSD button that helps lock up both wheels for more traction, which i made use of the other day to get out of that situation. Having said that, I feel a little gay when I drive it. Thats a cool trick to shut off the traction control, I'll have to give it a try.

Safety must mean nothing to you.

I don't need the gov't or anybody else dictating what is and is not safe for me.That is my decision. If you want everyone else telling you what is safe and what is not, good for you.If I don't think something is safe I don't do it or buy that product.People have to take the time to learn the skills and judgements that will keep themselves safe.As I said before I take responsibilty for my actions.

Exactly the way I feel too. I have been driving for 10 years and I have never had any of that crap. I think I learned to be a safer driver because of it. My 97 Aspire is the newest vehicle I've owned so far, and I love it because it is so basic. No ABS, no TC, no power anything except for brakes and I feel perfectly safe driving it because I know how to drive with caution.
