If I can pick up an older ranger on the cheap I want to turn it into a rat rod.

Kinda want to make it look like the these 2

I want to put duals on the back or maybe some wide racing slicks, but if I was

gonna go with a dually I was wondering if anybody has done this before. If i

get big enough rims I might not have to mess with the brakes, and the

fenders don't matter.

Any Ideas or pointers ???

My buddy pretty much bolted a 14 bolt dually right up. He took the parts for the 2nd wheel off though, and it's a mud truck... A 14 bolt at least has massive breaks.

is there any way to put duallys on a stock single wheel axle? I.E. stud extenders or something like that?

JC Whitney used to sell dually adapters in the past. Not sure if they still do. Only issue with adapter for duallies is that your bearings areonly designed for a single wheel application, True duallies have a inner & outer bearing that the hub rides on over a axle tube. Similiar to the 4wd front hubs on most 4wd vehicles. The hill billy rat rod is using the Toyota motor home style early version of duallies. They have a adapter from 5 on 4.5 to the much larger 5 lug bolt pattern
