hey. well i just need to get my truck done, i have a 92 ranger ext cab 4x4 with a 6" skyjacker lift kit, i cant find a one piece around here everyone can ship me one but its goin to cost around like 400 with shipping its ridiculious. an i cant buy one over the internet cuz i dont have a credit card. but i found a 2 piece for 60 bucks so i was just goin to drop the carrier bearing to compensate for the lift, but how much should i drop it? would like 2" be enough or 3"?

like ive looked at the the angle an it doesnt look bad as is right now so i think if i drop the bearing 2" it wont vibrate, but 3" will help when the truck is at full droop.

i plan on just running the 2 piece for the rest of the season then over the winter hopefully find a one piece cheap.

its super hard to get it right you really need to find a one piece drive shaft. why is it going to be 400 with shipping i shipped a drive shaft and it was right around 75 bucks

IIRC when I origionally did my lift I dropped the carrier bearing crossmember down about a inch and it was pretty good. Then I got a 1 peice shaft made up.

see i figure 2" should be more then enough so it will allow enough for full droop but ill see what i have kicking around to drop it.

Downy, i have no idea thats roughly what they wanted at 3 diff wreckers an at a driveshaft shop they wanted 575 so lol i paid less for the whole truck so im not paying that much for a driveshaft. ill wait it out with a 2 piece till i find a 1 piece cheaper.

Lowering it will help some, but my experience is that it only eliminated about 50-60% of the vibration at best. The one-piece shaft fully eliminated it 100%.

hell man when i go to the big pick and pull yard around here if i find 2 i will get one for you. if you pay for it and shipping they are like 25 bucks for the shaft plus probably 75 to ship

i kno its probably goin to vibrate but ill play around with dropping the carrier bearing different height an everything to see what the best result i can get, thanks for the help.

an downy if you do come across one let me know.
