is there an easy way to get my trans back into neutral. i dropped my tranny to replace the clutch and slave cylinder a few weeks ago, and i took the shifter out , not even thinking , when it was still in gear. what do i do?

why not replace the tranny while in gear? i do it everytime i do one. that way i can turn the output shaft to line the splines up.

I'm thinking he put the shifter back in and missed the notch...pull the shifter back out and shine a light in the shifter hole and you'll see like 3 notches that have to be all aligned ...use a screw driver to move the shift rail in alignment with the other 2 and put your shifter back in.
