I looked around and couldnt really find what i was looking for... So i lifted my truck and the steering linkage is at about a 40 degree angle now and my truck is all out wack so i was wondering if a f150 4x4 pitman arm would fit on my 87 2wd ranger?

A 4WD F-150 arm will fit your '87 2WD no problem, however it wouldn't solve anything... It is exactly the same arm.

What you're looking for is one of the following arms which have increasing drop amounts in 2" increments and will fit your truck:
  • 4WD Ranger/Explorer stock arm
  • 4WD STX Ranger w/highrider lift (also any normal aftermarket dropped arm)
  • Skyjacker Extreme drop arm (pt# FA600).

Pic whichever one will best line up your linkage so that it moves in phase with your suspension.
See this article for some information (it covers 4WDs, however the principles are the same for either setup).

Hope that helps
