Truck has a P0420 code, which from what I've read on the net could mean a bad air sensor. Will this cause any harm if I drive it for a few weeks to a few months? It runs fine otherwise, no rough idle, misfires, bogging down, etc. Thanx.

Thanx, this helps alot! But will I damage anything if I keep driving like it is, even though it doesn't have any visible problems?

Probably not, if anything it might "damage" your gas mileage but other than that I can't see it hurting anything.

I have had that code twice. The first time I cleared it becuase I thought it was a fluke. 6 months later, it showed up again. So I replace the O2 sensor after the cat. and it has never showed up again.

No, driving with cat efficiency codes will not hurt the truck. All it means is that the down-stream sensor signal indicates too much oxygen in the exhaust stream. It could be a worn out cat, a bad sensor, a leak (not likely). It won't hurt anything.
