Hey guys, I just recently purchased a set of 5x7 rectangle driving lights. I want to mount them behind the grill and was wondering if any body has done this, can show me some pictures? How hard is it?

I have a 97 ranger if that help for an idea of what the grill looks like.

I think on a 1997 truck the center crossbar of the grille will block a lot of the light. I have seen it done on the later trucks with the honeycomb grille and it works great on them. They were mounted on a support in front of the radiator that works out really nice to put them in the center of the grille.

i know this isnt exactly what you were looking for....but heres mine:

the lights are a lot thinner than the ones you have. they are mounted on the core support, shining between the grill and bumper. wired them to come on automatically with the ignition. sorry i dont have any closeup shots.

Nice work and may I add - a heck of a nice night-time photograph with the mountains in the background.

thanks. wish i had had a better quality camera when i took that. that was my old 3MP floppy drive mavica.
