Well they do sell actual shift knobs at AZ that look like grenades. Except they are chrome.

I've seen the chrome ones, and don't care for them, I'll try the Army Surplus when I get a chance.

If ya'll don't have any luck with surplus shops you can google "inert pineapple grenade" they are every where.

Oh and Colin converting my column shift auto to a floor shift manual sound like a pain in the butt. Not a bad idea though only problem then I'd want to swap the 2.3 out for something bigger.

Well, I guess what I'm going to do is when I get to building my Ranger back, and I'm using the 92 Explorer steering column, I'll remove the shifter and find me a floor shifter, and make it look like a manual shifter and then "Bomb" it, unless I find something a little bit different and odd.

Very comfortable to shift with, sometimes I only need to use one finger on the handle to shift. My only complaint would be that the pin ring vibrates like crazy depending on engine speed, which make its a good "time to shift" indicator. So the solution is to just turn up the stereo louder, or put some heat shrink on the ring and silicone under the handle.

heads up on this... in canada, if you get pulled over, you might get taken down at gunpoint because it looks like a live grenade... not sure what they would do in the states, i wouldn't imagine it would be a whole lot different...

Update!

little update, stopped the pin ring from vibrating like crazy, just threw a coupple little rare earth magnets on the grenade, can't even see them, fixed it immediately

i've gotten pulled over a couple times, no issues so far, definitely putting something else on though if i go over the border
